Things that are currently selling like hot cakes during ’s summer show and I love it: cards, prints, and stickers that basically say we’ve all been through some sheeeeeit but we’re showing up anyway and finding the humor in it all. For others and for ourselves. And I kinda love that. (Not the, “we’ve been through a lot lately” -part, but the showing up part.)

I’ll be at Magnuson Park Hangar again today with these and more, from 11-5! Come shop at over 150 small businesses. Or, my online shop. That’s where these 👆are, too.

How are you doing on your Mother’s Day cards this year? I HAVE YOU COVERED for every type of relationship, situation, and sentiment. I think this is the year we all show up, more than we have in the past, for the moms, the aspiring moms, and women we know who’ve held down the fort this past year; who’ve worked so hard to maintain a sense of normalcy when the world around us has been so uncertain; who’ve managed to cultivate joy between the chaos… who’ve worked so hard, invisibly, to take care of everyone else. Let’s show them allll the love this Mother’s Day with cards that make an impact.

A unique card might be the easiest way to give a lasting, positive impact.

Every time I get accepted into a market, I lie to myself and say, “I’m going to be done prepping like 2-3 whole days beforehand so that I don’t stress out my husband or myself the morning-of by printing off some last-minute designs I thought of the night before.”

I just went down a rabbit hole of watching clips from last night‘s state of the union and now feels like a good time to tell you about this new card I designed! 🤷🏼‍♀️ It’s perfect for those of you who are feeling helpless and need someone to commiserate with. It’s great to send the friend you know is spiraling. It’s just a great anytime card, really! Let’s talk about this little sticker for a second. “Curiosity over judgement” became my personal mantra during election season and it continues to be throughout the first few weeks of this new administration. And this isn’t just a political thing for me: While it’s “just” a sticker, this little guy has helped me so much in slowing down and asking more questions before I make what I feel is a hard line on someone or something. It’s honestly led me to seek out deeper and better conversations. For a sticker?! Come on, that’s pretty awesome.

One of my founding principles for Hey Weegs was/is to never offer unsolicited advice. And while this sticker isn’t an outward projection (I designed it to be a cute little, personal reminder), it has sparked some some pretty cool chats with onlookers, and has given them food-for-thought, which I think is awesome. An unintentional bonus.
