The most rewarding thing about what we do is framing amazing art for fundraisers that support our local community.

This piece by Carson Waterman is up for auction this Saturday for a fundraiser to raise money for , an organization that does incredible environmental work and programming.

Waterman is a distinguished painter, draftsman, designer, sculptor, and revered cultural figure for the Haudenosaunee people of the Seneca Nation. His work is currently on exhibit at the

Is there anything more gorgeous than a holiday print featured inside our Candy Classic frame? 🍬 **(I could really use a candy cane emoji here)**

The rich reds present in spalted Boxelder are unique to the Boxelder tree, a species of Maple in the Soapberry family. The vibrant red spalting is a natural wood coloring caused by fungus. 🍄 Just look at the variety!

This pigmentation is not seen in any other tree species and is often nicknamed ‘Flaming Boxelder’ or ‘Candy Boxelder.’

This stock of lumber has the most incredible Zone Lines I’ve ever seen…just look at all those black lightning bolts ⚡️and 〰️squiggles…completely natural.

Hard to imagine that 🍄‍🟫🍄‍🟫🍄‍🟫 fungi naturally make this. Science is just incredible ❤️🤓

Book matching wood is what happens when you slice a board of wood linearly so that it opens like a book 📖

By doing so, you expose two matching symmetrical sides of the woods grain patterns.

Trametes Versicolor AKA “Turkey Tail” is one of the most common spalting fungi. They occur naturally and when you can find them doing what they do best-decomposing wood-it’s truly beautiful.
