Albion Books deals in fine used, out of print, and rare books and ephemera, and has been based in Buffalo, NY since 2016. My journey in bookselling began with a position at Adams Avenue Bookstore in San Diego, CA and morphed into an independent business upon my transplantation to Buffalo in 2016. The majority of stock is available online; select stock also may be browsed in person at The Peddler F
lea Market in the Elmwood Village of Buffalo from spring through fall. FAQ:
"Do you buy books?"
Yes, though that depends on the topics/authors that you have, the books’ condition, and their relevance to the current used book market. Please contact me to tell me about what you have. I also buy select magazines and ephemera. I do not buy textbooks, Time-Life or Reader’s Digest books, Playboys, encyclopedias, or any items with serious condition issues (smoke damage, significant writing/marking inside, moisture/mildew damage, or missing covers/pages). Book buying is limited to the Western New York area. I do house calls and you do not need to transport your collection anywhere for me to view it. "Is Albion Books a brick-and-mortar bookstore?"
For the foreseeable future, Albion Books will remain an online store. However, you can also browse select stock in person at the pop-up bookstore at The Peddler Flea Market in the Elmwood Village of Buffalo from spring through fall. "I’m looking for a particular book; can you find a copy for me?"
Only part of my total inventory is listed online. If you were unable to find the exact book you wanted, then please contact me so I can search my offline inventory for you. The more information you provide, the easier it will be for me to help you. If I don't have the book in stock, then I will recommend other local booksellers who may have what you’re looking for. I do not carry textbooks.
