This is exactly why I started Poppy & Pearl. β€οΈ
When Bettie finished painting this trinket tray, she couldn't wait to put it on her dresser. She carefully arranged her little flower, bear, and paw print just the way she wanted them. Was it Pinterest-perfect? Not even close. Was it perfect to her? Absolutely.
That's the magic.
These aren't just plaster pieces. They're little moments of independence, creativity, and pride. Kids don't remember every toy they get, but they do remember making something all by themselves... and finding the perfect place to display it.
As moms, we spend so much time telling our kids to clean their rooms. It's pretty amazing when they're excited to decorate them instead. π
Watching Bettie beam with pride over something she created reminded me exactly why we're building Poppy & Pearl. It's not about perfect paint lines. It's about confidence, creativity, and making memories together.
I have a feeling this little trinket tray is going to hold a lot more than tiny treasures. It's going to hold a sweet memory of an afternoon spent creating.
β¨ What little treasures would your child keep on their own trinket tray? Earrings? Rocks? Tiny toys? "Very important" random things they insist on saving? π We'd love to hear! π
