Thanks for asking me to share Trade Show Tips and Tricks! Looking forward to it!

We're looking forward to our next monthly luncheon on Wednesday, September 18th, 2024 from 11:30 - 1:00 PM at the Holiday Inn Christiansburg-Blacksburg. We will be hearing from our very own Nancy Creed, former owner of The Orange Bandana. Even though Nancy is recently retired, she has agreed to share how she grew two successful businesses in the NRV through grassroot networking efforts. She will be sharing her secrets to great networking and how to work networking trade shows to reap their fullest potential.

Learn a little more about Nancy:
Nancy holds a Master’s Degree in Interpersonal and Public Communication from Bowling Green State University and a BA in Communications from the University of Pittsburgh. The Orange Bandana was recognized as the 2023 Montgomery County Small Business of the Year! And the other award-winning business? It may have involved a Pink Cadillac.

How many of us truly get to do what we love for a living? As you know by now, I make gifts for people to give—and I LOVE doing it. When I design a gift, I feel like I am a part of your party, your company, your unique moment!

With mixed emotions, I want to tell you that it is time for me to move on! My lease is ending at our retail location, and we’ve gotten too big to return to a home business. It’s been so wonderful meeting all of you! And to be named the Montgomery County Chamber of Commerce 2023 Small Business of the Year has been a dream come true and a personal goal of mine.

I have decided to retire and sell The Orange Bandana, LLC effective May 1, 2024.

The store will now be a part of The Hethwood Market family but still operate as its own entity at 620 N. Main Street in Blacksburg. Scott Sink, owner of The Hethwood Market, and I have known each other for at least 20 years!! I believe he is the PERFECT person to continue what we’ve started at The Orange Bandana, LLC. He is all about supporting local businesses and is very well-networked in our community!

Our current location will close on April 17th so we can clear our space and move to the new location.

We’re busy training some very talented Hethwood Market employees to carry on our good name and legacy. I hope that you will support Scott and his team as much, if not more, than you have supported me and Dave.

🧡Thank you to all of you who have journeyed with us on our crazy orange bandana adventure. See you around town! No tears. Just Cheers! But I’ll have an orange bandana in my back pocket just in case.
