Tuesday update for the latest CfA whistle set:

Have all the tuning sleeves bored out and mouthpiece tenons cut for the Phantom Pro whistles and the Bass A whistle. Also milled out the windway and ramps for the standing Phantom whistles. Will get the remaining windways and ramps milled out next and then can work on getting all the toneholes.

Monday update for the next CfA whistle set order:

The order ended growing a bit larger now with another added Phantom high E And a pair of PVC Bass A whistles, one tunable and the other nontunable. I'm waiting on additional PVC pipe for the nontunable Bass A whistle and finally squared away an order for some bright white PVC pipe for the low whistles, which seems to be in unusually short supply in most the colors currently (4 of tge colors are completely out of stock everywhere and another 1 or 2 are almost out).

Anyhow, will be proceeding to the next steps with everything that I currently have prepped so far:

Started up work this week on another batch of whistles destined for "Come From Away."

Not as varied a lot in terms of different keys, but multiples of a few:
- 4x Phantom High E
- 3x Phantom Pro High E
- 5x Tunable PVC Low C
- 5x Tunable PVC Low C #

So far have all the pieces cut to length for the phantom whistles, all the tuning slides cut for the low whistles, and half the plugs turned down and cut to length for the Low whistles.

Waiting on more PVC pipe to arrive for the low whistles as well, right now there seems to be a surprising shortage of most of the colors.

Weeks end update for the 5 whistle "Come from Away" set:

Have everything all finished up now. Will be working on editing and posting up the video sample tomorrow. It will be featuring the newest member of the Hermit Hill Folk Instruments family who showed up about two weeks back and was formally brought in about a week ago.

Friday update for the 5 whistle "Come From Away" set:

The brass tubing for the tuning slides finally arrived this evening, it was supposed to be here yesterday but got delayed. I'll work on getting those cut out, polished, and the maker's mark etched on them tomorrow.

The head pieces are all assembled with the mouthpiece beaks cut. Will get the tuning sleeves bored out in the body tubes now that the brass is here for the slides.

Started up work this week on an order for a set of 5 tunable PVC whistles that a customer needed for an upcoming production of "Come From Away."

The set includes a black low C, red low C #, green Low E, black low F, and black alto G.

Have all the body and head pieces cut to size, the mouthpiece tubes bored out, the fipple plugs turned down, and the toneholes drilled and deburred. Will be milling out the windways and ramps next and getting the mouthpieces finished next.

Waiting on brass tubing to come in to make the tuning slides, then can get those bored out as well.

And a happy Friday to everyone. Have the tunable red PVC Polymer whistle and Phantom Pro High E whistle completed now, so will be moving on to work on the next order.

Have the next order going for a tunable Red PVC Polymer Low C # whistle along with a Phantom Pro High E whistle. Have a good bit of them done: everything up to the milling machine work to get the windways, ramps, and toneholes done next.
