Wrapped a pretty extensive project for my dude Arthur. Got this Ibanez RGIX28FEQM 8 string which was supposed to be a simple cut a new pickguard (because Ibanez doesn't make pickguard to fit this guitar), install a Fishman Fluence set with custom wiring, install all mew hardware and fix the setup. Diving deeper into the guitar I kept uncovering issue after issue:
Previous owner must have stopped something g heavy on the guitar shattering the finish and denting the guitar and just covered it up with a poorly executed pickguard
After taking off the strings, I noticed a hairline Crack in the fretboard that needed filled and fixed
After everything was put together and set up, went to adjust the truss to find the truss nut was completely rounded out and needed extracted and replaced.
After a ton of work on this one, I was stoked to get this axe back to my buddy. This was an insane project but totally worth the time spent to get everything fixed on this one.
