Had a private in-studio hat burn yesterday with the sweetest family & friend group for their girls’ day out! I also loved getting to help customize a burn pattern for their business — those personal touches make these experiences extra special.

Y’all!!! 🦞🎨 Just look at these fabulous crawfish paintings!! Every single one is bursting with personality—I swear every paint style imaginable showed up at this table. From bold and whimsical to detailed and classic, no two were alike, and that’s what made this party so much fun.
This was one of those paint nights with plenty of creative freedom, lots of laughs, and a whole lot of “wow, that turned out amazing!” moments. Thank y’all for showing up, letting loose, and making it such a joyful, inspiring time.

*edit* back outside & caught a few pics of ice crystal prisms. Be sure to enlarge the photos to see all the colors. What a marvelous gift today is!!

Went out to feed the chicks this morning and was reminded that beauty shows up—even on the coldest days. ❄️💙

The air was frigid, but the sky was brilliant and these ice-crusted treetops stopped me in my tracks.

Might have to turn this moment into an icy inspiration for the Louisiana Life Series… you never know. 😉

Introducing Ileen .. from scratch 100% Einkorn flour starter. Two weeks of babying - to include taking with us on a weekend trip & she started doubling last night!! Hubby replaced the mixer parts I wore out, so the grinder attachment can be put to work again. I can just taste that first loaf with fresh salted butter already!! Has anyone out there successfully cultivated a starter from scratch? How is it going? It's almost as exciting as my first egg!!
