ShoeBox Scrapbooking

ShoeBox Scrapbooking ShoeBox Scrapbooking became my vision after hearing so many people comment on how they wish they had the “time” or the “creativity” to scrapbook.

Scrapbooking can also get pricey, so if you're not passionate about it, it's hard to justify the investment. I wanted to create a service where anyone can enjoy all the beauty of a handmade photo album without having to spend countless hours-and dollars-in the craft store (but who wouldn't want that??) Custom scrapbooks are perfect gifts for friends, family, and yourself! Because some memories are just too special to be tucked away in a shoebox

“DO I NEED TO BE LOCAL TO WORK WITH YOU?” 🤔

I get asked this a lot and nope - I’m able to work with you wherever you are... even overseas!

If your photos are digital, I take care of printing. If you have physical prints/memorabilia, then they can be mailed to me (or scanned, if you prefer.)

Memory-keeping is so important to me and I’m committed to making sure your materials are handled and preserved with care.

Allyson from created this adorable graphic of all the places my clients have been from over the years. 🗺 🌎

Now I’m curious to see where you’re from! Let me know in the comments. ⬇️

I don’t play favorites with my clients, but I have to brag about Katherine for a minute.

She came to me in 2018, when my business was still in its infancy, with what would become my biggest project to date.

In the past two and half years, I’ve created 7 albums, amounting in 456 pages. It’s been such a treasure documenting different parts of her life’s journey.

She has been oh so patient as I’ve continued to work on her albums in between the constant flow of clients with deadlines. It’s a bittersweet moment as I ship off this final album which documents their renovation of a gorgeous historic home.

So thank you, , for granting me the opportunity to handle your family’s memories. These albums have helped me to grow in my craft and in business. ♥️♥️♥️

Getting ready to tackle YEAR FIVE of my business 🤩

The last four years have truly flown by and it was only in the past •two months• that I finally felt like I was getting into a good rhythm in my work.

Kelci from has been such an inspiration lately with her expertise in goal planning. So this year I’m making bigger, long term goals and taking her advice to break things down into actionable steps for each quarter, month, week, and day. 🗓📝

Social media can be a real negative place if you let it, so I’m grateful to accounts like hers that are encouraging and supportive. Let’s hope we all see more of that online this year! 💪🏼

I’m sure you’ve seen a million posts asking what your resolution or goal for 2021 is, so instead, my call to action for you is to take some time on this Sunday to just daydream about what your life will look like once you’ve reached your goal for this year. Let that picture inspire and carry you through the week.

Now that I’ve done my “motivational” speaking for the day, I’ll get back to what I do best. Crafting! 😂

When this year took an unexpected turn, I thought I would have to look for a new job. I didn’t think people could find value in my work when there were so many other things going on in the world.

I was proven wrong. June and July rolled around and I had more clients than usual during that time. Everyone was stuck at home and started cleaning out their closets.

As I look back over the types of albums I’ve made this year, they’ve all told the story of what’s important in our lives - family, friendships, love. And a few of them even documented this crazy year. What a treasure that will be for future generations to look through!

I’ve learned a lot this year about expectations and adaptability. I’m sure you have, as well! I’m excited to use that knowledge to tackle the coming year. How are you feeling about 2021? Excited, stressed, indifferent?

Remember when we traveled without a care in the world? 🤔

I keep getting Facebook memories notifications of travels from years past and each one is a bittersweet memory now. I’m grateful for the opportunities I took to go abroad when I had the chance, but I’m definitely making a nice long bucket list once we’re on the other side of this pandemic. 🗺📝🤞🏼

Three mini albums in two weeks! 😅

When I made the first one back in May, I had no idea how much fun they would be. Each one is so unique and fits any occasion. So far, we’ve commemorated birthdays, an anniversary, and a going-away gift!

Since each one is so custom and personalized, I’ve started hand making more of the embellishments, as well. Thanks to Art and Happiness for supplying the paper to make these cute little pockets!

I mentioned before how I was a little nervous about the future of my business when the shutdowns began. But y’all... this has been my busiest couple of months yet!⁣

I can hardly believe how much new work is coming in and I’m soooo incredibly grateful, ecstatic, amazed, etc! 😍🤩🥰⁣

I’m trying to keep this page updated with shots of works in progress, but between the ten albums (yes, ten!) in my queue and the summer sun calling my name, my attention is elsewhere most of the time.⁣

But I wanted to pop in and say hi, remind you to stay healthy, enjoy the sun, vote in your local elections, and keep living your best life. 😘 Now back to my current mini album project!

Onto the next adventure!

It’s been a minute since I last posted, but that’s only because lots of good things are happening. I’ve had to prioritize my time a lot more lately.

I have a full roster of clients, but am still trying to soak up our very brief PNW summer. This weekend I went camping and watched my friends jump out of an airplane.

What’s your next adventure?

It’s always a little bittersweet completing an album.⁣

I spend so much time puzzle-piecing them together that I feel really connected with my work by the end.⁣

Once I ship one off, I have so much anxiety hoping it’ll arrive safely and look as good as it did when I packed it.⁣

I’m still blown away by just how unique each album turns out and I’m grateful for all the wonderful clients I get to share my craft with. The chaos of the month of March set me back a bit, but this was an opportunity to focus solely on growing my business.⁣

Last month, the work started to pay off as I booked more clients in a single month than ever before. So thank you thank you thank you for all the support! ❤️❤️❤️

Three more mini albums in the making! I’m still amazed by how many memories can fill such a small album.⁣

Being at home the past 3 months has helped me take stock of what’s most important in my life. I’ve learned that I have too much stuff that I never use, especially clothing.⁣

I’ve also learned from going through old photo albums which types of photos spark the best memories. For me, it’s the active photos. Ones where we’re actually doing stuff! Playing games, hiking, making silly faces in a blanket fort... smiling selfies and posed portraits have their place, but these photos reminded me that I’m the happiest when I’m sharing experiences with other people.⁣

Do you take more posed pictures or candid shots? 📸
