We hope you will join us for the historic opening of the first section of the Eastern Shore Rail Trail. If we're lucky, one of our speakers will be Peter Harnik, author of the Rails To Trails book, which was made into the Rails To Trails documentary film. Peter will have just returned from a trip and will come if he can.

Anyone have an idea of what time they will make it to the historic district? Our ride is at 8:30. I know my parents used to brag about chasing the trucks and running in the “mist”, however we know better these days..

Mosquito Spraying Throughout Town on Tuesday, June 30th

The Town’s contractor will be spraying for mosquitoes on Tuesday, June 30th, starting at 7:00 p.m. Spraying will occur in the following order:

Heron Point
Bayside Village I & II
Muirfield
The Hollies
The Signature
Plantation Point
The Fairways (The Fairways, The Commons and Palmer Lake Villas)
New Quarter
Marina Village East
The Colony/King’s Bay
Town streets East/West beginning with Washington Avenue
Town streets North/South beginning with Harbor Avenue

Mason Avenue will be sprayed from Rayfield’s Pharmacy to Cape Charles Fire Company to avoid crowds along the storefronts.

In the event of adverse weather, spraying will be done on Wednesday, July 1st, starting at 7:00 p.m.
