Latest off the loom! I call it Golden Autumn for the soft glow and the muted colors. The secret to it's drape and softness is YAK. My new favorite silky fiber - such a treat to work with .

Ah, the delights of Facebook - for some reason I can't share a post from my own timeline to this page that is also mine. A friend is recommending Instagram which may be a better place for my fibery (weaving and spinning) projects.

For now, here's my most recent delight - "Berry Season" handwoven with silk, merino, a touch of nylon, and sleek Sea Cell (made with sea w**d and feels and looks like silk). It drapes like a dream and is going to feel so good come fall and winter!

Remember when this was on my loom? Well here it is finished and ready to go to the Celebration of Creativity, March 1 - 3. I call it "Graceland" and there really is a connection to "The King". The yarns is all hand-dyed in Oregon, and one of them is called "Velvet Elvis", so the scarf pretty much named itself!

I'm delighted to be able to show my new work at the show - watch for some previews over the next couple of weeks, and mark your calendar now for one of the finest juried art/craft shows around.

We're open from 11 to 5 and look forward to sharing our passion for yarn and weaving with our visitors. Look for the sign at Walker and 180th in Beaverton.

It's here! The Washington County Studio Tour happens this weekend from 11 to 5 both Saturday and Sunday. It's fun, and it's FREE!

Come by my weaving studio to see glowing colors, touchable textures, and even try your hand at weaving - a favorite with kids. Learn how the magic happens that turns yarn into scarves and more. Have a snack and enjoy the bright warmth of my studio no matter how gray the day!

Celebrating! My weaving won two ribbons at the Oregon State Fair - the shadow weave scarf of lush merino and angora took a white ribbon (third), and my lap robe of warm, soft wool in a twill plaid of my own design won a first place blue ribbon!

I love to show my work, but it was a bit scary to offer these two up for judging. Next year I'll surely do it again.

Hand dyed rayon chenille is creating its own pattern in shades of teal and turquoise. Can't wait to see how soft and plush it will be after finishing.
