So on our quest for the perfect shooting glove, we found a new #1: First Tacticals Patrol 2.0 gloves - $29.99

We look at:
Dexterity and freedom of motion
Fit
Materials
Price
Features
Style
Grip

With all those things in consideration, the Patrol Glove is our new #1 with it's low price, premium materials, great design and fit with the wrist band, cut out for your tactical watch, and touchscreen compatibility built into all of the premium goatskin underside. Icing on the cake, they are attractive too. For this price, I havent been able to beat these guys and we have most of the major brands, like Magpul, safariland, CZUB, mechanix wear and more!

Expect to see some reviews and hopefully discounts on more First Tactical gear soon.

While shooting gloves aren't usually on a plinkers mind, we've gone through quite a few pairs of them from all the major manufacturers: mechanic wear, czub, safariland, Magpul...

And while Magpul was our go to glove for a long time, started to desire a couple features they are missing. Like touchscreen fingertips, or a wrist strap. If a $60-$90 pair of tactical shooting gloves aren't in your budget, we recommend checking these out from Tim wells.

We have been loving them...

Today's 9mm reloads are going to be 147grain round nose jackets. The bullet on the far right. The bullet next to it is a 115grain round nose jacket. In these shots you can see how drastically longer the 147 grain bullet is. You can also see one of these rounds is dipped, while the other has a real wrapped jacket. The wrap is a much higher quality.

Lots of people don't realize that a heavier bullet, actually requires less of a powder charge. The reason for this is because it takes it a fraction of a second longer to leave the casing mouth after the powder ignites, this causes the pressure in the shell to climb way higher then a lighter round, so if you don't reduce the charge, things will get ugly.

The faster a bullet moves, the faster it's going to spin. Because you're barrel spins every so many inches, as you increase speed, you also increase twist speed in a given distance the bullet travels. This increases centrifugal force being exerted on the round. Something to keep in mind when reloading for the perfect shot.

So we got a couple thousand 9mm casings off the ground in yacolt for free. But they had been out there for God knows how long, and were seriously corroded. So we threw em in a tumbler for 30mins with some man made sand, and took a primer tool to clean the primer pockets, then took some photos of some of them..

The reason I hand clean the primer pockets is because the 9mm has a lot of pressure compared to other rounds. So it's not uncommon for the primer pocket itself to begin getting destroyed, either uneven, or even completely out of round, which will cause you problems reloading.

The other thing I check for really quickly is how out of round the case mouth is, or if there are any cracks in the casing. If it's too smashed, or cracked, it goes to the scrapper. I also make a quick not of case length, just eyeball, if you notice a trim you won't be mistaken.

Below are some shots if ones with warped primer pockets, and one shot shows the black we scrape out of the pocket as well.

Ever wonder what really is the best handgun in the worst situation? Well, here it is, this data is from civilian gun fights over a period of a few years in the US.

remember, the less common calibers will have a drastically smaller sample pool, which probably effects their standings pretty heavily. Also, shotgun thrown in there as a comparison.

Finally got a good case setup for our 9mm 4 piece reloading dies, primer pocket cleaner, bullet puller, universal primer, and extra bits related to priming or dies all together.

Seems like such a silly simple thing, but I have been hunting for this case for months lol.
