Help James Focus on Fighting Cancer, Not Financial Stress

There are moments in life when someone who has always worked hard and given their best suddenly finds themselves facing a challenge no one could ever prepare for. This is one of those moments.

Our employee, James, has been diagnosed with stage 4 lung cancer that has spread to his brain. In an instant, his life changed from focusing on work and everyday responsibilities to facing treatments, doctor's appointments, and an incredibly difficult fight for his life.

Anyone who knows James knows he is a hardworking, dependable person who has always shown up with dedication and a positive attitude. Now, he needs our support more than ever.

As James battles this devastating diagnosis, the financial burden continues to grow. Medical bills, treatments, medications, and everyday living expenses don't stop simply because someone becomes seriously ill. Every day brings new challenges, and the last thing James should have to worry about is how to pay his bills while fighting for his health.

Happy St. Patrick's Day everyone! St. Patrick's Day has been a very special day for me since 2003 because it marks the anniversary of the opening of my business Raison Enterprises d/b/a The Oreck, Miele & Riccar Vacuum Store and my journey of self employment. Today marks my 21st year of self employment! I love being my own boss and I am very thankful for making it this long especially in the current shopping climate we live in today. I have had to move my business location a few times (I'm now in Baton Rouge instead of New Orleans) and we now sell many other brands and not just Oreck products (Miele vacuums, Riccar vacuums, Simplicity vacuums, Austin Air & Boneco air purifiers to name a few) but I'm still in business 21 years later! Two decades down and 4 years away from a quarter century! I would like to thank all my employees who worked for me throughout the years mainly Mike Fossee and James Nason. I could not have accomplished this with my sanity still intact without these two guys help. Hopefully I can stay in business until October 27th of this year when I make 59 1/2 years old (which I do believe I will...lol) so I don't have to go find a real job "workin' for da man" because then it's all lagniappe time after that. Then I'll have to decide if I want to continue working or retire. I guess we'll see what happens then. Have a great St. Patrick's day everyone!

Miele vacuums are designed to meet or exceed a 20 year service life. RIP David Oreck he was a good man and a proud American! Very thankful for all that he has done for me. It was mostly indirect of course but still thankful nonetheless as I'm still selling Oreck products going on 26 years now.
