No Dahlias were harmed lol!!!! Dahlia clean up! As needed I go though my Dahlia plants and strip the lower leaves, check for damaged branches, and thin out upper leaves etc. Doing so allows better air flow below and throughout the plant. It also allows the plant to put its energy towards blooms rather than greens.
Remember.... dead heading your Dahlias promotes more blooms as well!!!
