THE HARDEST ANNOUNCEMENT WE’VE EVER HAD TO MAKE
Nearly twenty years ago, I picked up a piece of furniture someone had thrown away. I brought it home, refinished it, and gave it a new life.
I had no idea that one piece would become the beginning of ReStyle & Co. One piece became another, and through more twists and turns than I could ever count, Neil and I built a business beyond our wildest dreams.
We poured our hearts into this current property for 13 years, raised our family here, and created something we never could have created without all of you. You did so much more than shop here. You brought your friends. You shared your lives with us. You laughed with us, encouraged us, prayed with us, and trusted us to help you find things that would become part of your homes and your stories.
I could write a book about the experiences, conversations, memories, and love you have given us over the years.
But life has changed. Neil and I have both been through roller coasters with our health, and we knew it was time to sell the properties and Airbnbs—even though my heart was nowhere near ready to let them go.
We have now accepted an offer.
To be completely honest, this breaks my heart. ReStyle is my baby. Neil and I built it together, and saying goodbye to this property feels like letting go of a piece of ourselves.
So it is with a very heavy heart that we are announcing that our final day at this location will be Saturday, September 5th.
But there is good news: the buyers are purchasing the property, not ReStyle & Co. No one is taking over the business we built. ReStyle will still belong to Neil and me. For now, it will simply be boxed up and waiting for whatever—and wherever—God has planned for it next. We don’t know what that plan is yet. We only know this is more of a see-you-later than a goodbye.
Before we close the doors, we would love for you to come take one last walk through the store. Find one last treasure. Remember something you discovered here before.
