Being a mom and a small business owner (while also working full time) is A LOT. It pulls you in every direction, tests every limit, and can break your heart wide open, all while you’re just trying to show up for your kids.

I hope my kids look back one day and think “wow, my mom followed her dreams” and maybe, “wow, my mom is a badass.”

I am building something not only for myself, but for them.

To every woman doing it all today - with grace, without it, with kids, without them - I see you, and I am cheering you so so loud.

And to anyone for whom today is complicated or heavy, whether you’re grieving, healing, longing, or somewhere in between, I’m sending you the biggest, warmest hug. You’re not alone.

This Thursday, May 7th, we’re welcoming Danielle—owner of down in Galveston—for a hands-on herbal skincare workshop at the shop. It always feels special getting to bring together folks who care about refill, low-waste living, and doing things a little more thoughtfully.

This workshop focuses on simple, natural skincare you can make yourself. You’ll create your own dry face mask, facial toner, and facial oil or serum, using ingredients like pitaya powder, rose hydrosol, and helichrysum oil.

Danielle will walk us through what each ingredient does and help you blend something that’s right for your skin—not a one-size-fits-all approach.

You’ll head home with all three products, plus easy instructions if you want to keep making them on your own.

It’s also just a really lovely way to spend time—with your mom, a friend, or anyone you want to slow down with for a couple of hours.

Join us TODAY from 1-3 pm for Pop-in Print Bar - a playful, come-and-go Screen + Block Print Bar hosted by our friends at .am and . It’s a hands-on experience where creativity meets keepsake-making.

Prints + framing are $40 per piece, payable at the event.

We’ll have a curated collection of stamps, backgrounds, and frames ready for you to mix, match, and design your own custom print.

This event is especially sweet for little hands - kids can create something thoughtful and one-of-a-kind just for mom.
