if you plan to head into these mountains and recreate in the outdoors this weekend (or really, anytime), please be aware of the impact you can create. We are under a high warning for wildfires and with everything else going on around us, now would be a pretty awful time to be reckless and start a wildfire.

Here are ways you can take action to help limit human-caused fires:
1) If you camp, fully extinguish your fire.
2) If you smoke, fully extinguish your cigar/cigarette/etc. and never throw it out the window (or in the grass, because that’s rude and littering). Instead, throw it in the garbage.
3) Do not drive your car over dry brush or grass.

And while we’re on the topic, practice LEAVE NO TRACE principles and take all your garbage out of your campsite with you.
