It’s + I thought it was a great time to remind you to go take a walk through your local museum…you never know what you’ll find hidden away in their permanent collection…

I stumbled upon Andy Warhol’s “mao” series in the after catching an impressionist exhibit a few years ago. I was so shocked and literally brought to tears when I turned a corner and saw them lined up in front of me.

** while this is a part of their permanent collection, it is off view currently for conservation reasons **

My background is in graphic design, but also enjoy film photography, pastels, and love a day with a good ole fashion pencil + sketchbook.

I feel happiest on a beach, prefer road trips over airplanes, and think local art makes the best souvenir.

I’m a *newish* Atlanta resident, who loves going on hikes with my hubby and our 1 year old chocolate lab, wrigley…named after my love for the city of Chicago.

it’s been a couple of hard weeks.

As I come back from my winter break, I don’t really know what to post or say. I don’t feel like continuing business as usual is 100% appropriate. as the new year begins, I look at my upcoming content plan, and it all just feels silly.

My heart is heavy, I’m angry, and I feel lost as to what to do. I’ve avoided posting politics on this page out of fear. It’s already tough enough owning a small business. But, everything that is happening is just so far beyond basic politics.

I want to make sure that this account is authentically me. And I cannot remain silent. What we are witnessing is not ok. I just need to share that. What we are experiencing in this country is not fu***ng ok. I may lose followers, I may lose retailers. but I just couldn’t live with myself if I cowardly hid behind this account out of that fear.

I’m mad at myself that it took me this long to post this. it’s hard to express in words the emotions that I’m feeling, but I know I’m not alone.

christmas came early for the snells

One of our favorite charleston spots opened up a location two miles from our new home in atlanta.

we both took a half day and went to their grand opening a couple of weeks ago. The space makes you feel like you just walked into your texas grandma’s living room, with thoughtfully curated intimate seating areas filled with the best retro decor.

And the food…well check out the second to last slide. I don’t give that shimmy shoulder happy dance for things that taste terrible. Legit already planning our return trip in a few days.
