I was a young man who grow up without my father and never had an relationship with him as a kid growing up, I was fortunate to have coaches like and my moms to keep me somewhat out of the way of gang violence and street activities.. growing up in Newark, NJ. Things were not always good on my end, I had to graduate from a redirection program in order to get my high school diploma and kept finding myself getting in trouble so I used sports to help me relocate after high school where i attended college in New Jersey at Fairleigh Dickinson university then transferred to university of South Carolina, where I was kicked out and then enrolled into Benedict college in Columbia, South Carolina. have earned a degree in criminal justice and business management. My love for son is beyond this world even tho he continues to beg me for a sibling, LOL! I've always installed in my son that no matter what thy shall always honor their mother and Father/always keep your head up unless you’re Praying/to always finish what you started and never let anyone take your amazing heart and kindness for weakness. So many men will never get the roses they deserve while we are able to receive them and smell them. Most of roses and appreciation comes. We are no longer here. John worked at FedEx recently resigned to pursue building a non-profit organization geared towards fathers who are felons or incarcerated help them connect with their children both in and when they come home. IT'S MONDAY!!!!! This week, we take a pause to celebrate Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., reppin' Atlanta, GA to the fullest!!!! Dr. King is the father of four children, Yolanda King (1955–2007), Martin Luther King III (b. 1957), Dexter Scott King (b. 1961), and Bernice King (b. 1963). Today, the USA celebrates his legacy, but Dr. King was assassinated 53 years ago on a Memphis hotel balcony, and in the sands of time, it is easy to forget that Dr. King was a real person. A man with a beautiful wife and family. A man who became the public face of a movement. A man who tirelessly worked, marched, got arrested, spoke eloquently on the topics of peace, love, and justice, and ultimately gave his life to the cause of racial equality. Yolanda, Martin, Dexter, and Bernice King lost their father. The loss has not gotten easier in 53 years, but his three surviving children each bear it on their own terms. For more than a decade, they have had to do this without two of the family’s cornerstones: their mother, Coretta Scott King, who died in 2006, and eldest child, Yolanda, who died in 2007. But they all are a testament of their father's love, guidance, leadership, and legacy of what it is to be a great father! Dr. King displayed values, hard work, faith in God, faith in his dream, love for his children and most of all, love for humanity! IT'S MONDAY!!!!! This week's feature is Robert R. Jordan Jr., reppin' Savannah, Georgia, to the fullest! He is the proud father of three amazing sons: Tristan Nelson Jordan (12), Grant Monroe Jordan (13), and Robert Alexander Jordan (15). He counts it an honor and a privilege to raise his 3 sons by spending quality time with them with sports, movies, trips, and one on one time. He prides himself in teaching them accountability to God first, themselves, and to our family. He is a certified High School Special Education Teacher and a Social Worker in Georgia. He was recently chosen as the 2025 Parade Marshal by the Savannah MLK King Observance Association and Mentor of the Year by the Legacy Builders of Nashville, Tennessee for his work with young black males in the community. He has worked in various capacities for more than 25 years in the social work and education profession, including as a social work instructor at Savannah State University and working with at-risk youth within the school system and community. He is very visible in the community as an active member of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Incorporated, the Sigma Theta Lambda Chapter in Hinesville,
Georgia, and a member of the 100 Black Men of Savannah. He is also the proud Founder and Executive Director of M.A.L.E. Dreamers Youth Development & Mentorship Incorporated. This 501(c)(3) male mentoring organization has existed for 8 years and has impacted the lives of many young males across this city and beyond, strengthening them in their faith, family, and favor of God. He renews his faith in God as a member of Kingdom Life Christian Fellowship, with a shared vision of impacting generations for a lifestyle of kingdom living.
