Our Story

I have been stitching machine embroidery since 2010. Purses, pillows, bags, cozies and framed embroidery were my beginning articles. In 2013 I also fell in love with paper crafting. I began searching my brain for ideas to combine embroidery and paper. Likewise, a firm believer in leaving a legacy, recording our lives for posterity and the impact of the written word, I had an idea to create paper journals with an embroidered cover. I wanted to give individuals a way to record their lives, whether is was a legacy, memories or simply a way to keep our lives organized. For eighteen months I worked on the product. During that time, I acquired my Midori Travelers Notebook for my own purposes and started making my own inserts. I stitched the first Embroidori inserts as a journal gift for relatives to record a trip to Ireland. The idea then blossomed into inserts and journals with embroidered covers to inspire people to write their stories, record their lives, and create a legacy to pass on to the future. All my journals are made individually by hand and incorporate machine embroidery using the finest rayon threads. The covers are made from Kraft paper in keeping with the Midori tradition. I use recyclabe materials whenever possible.
