This past week has been hard. We’ve been heartbroken by the events in Atlanta and the instances of racial and gender-based violence across the nation. Yet, one thing that has given us hope is how, even in the midst of social distancing, we can still come and stand in solidarity together.

From now until the end of the month, 50% of all profits from Gift Good Co.'s "Together We Rise" Tote Bags will be donated to 3 AAPI-orgs:

• NAPAWF (National Asian Pacific American Women's Forum, )
• Sakhi for South Asian Women ()
• SEARAC (Southeast Asian Resource Action Center, )

The other 50% will go back to building Gift Good Co, which connects people and organizations with emerging brands from diverse voices (with a focus on AAPI-owned, Black-owned, Latinx-owned, and Native-owned businesses).

You can find our totes through the link on our bio.

We’d really appreciate it if you’d spread the word and make our collective impact as big as we can!

In his “Three Evils of Society” speech, Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. discusses the many ways in which conversations of racism, poverty, and militarism are intertwined. He asks that all of us choose to be “creatively maladjusted” to the social norms that allow for such evils to proliferate in the first place.

At Gift Good, we recognize that we cannot solve the problem of economic inequity through intentional gift giving alone. But we also know that we all have to start somewhere, and support each other along the way. Together, we are building momentum to envision a more diverse and inclusive economy— one that exists for and responds to all of us.

We’re bringing January to a close with , our latest !

Brightland Co. is a South Asian owned business born out of a desire for better, more honest food production— and a deep belief in the land and what it provides. Founder Aishwarya Iyer hopes that her products provide abundant nourishment to her customers and their loved ones. The perfect gift for the foodie in your life!

We suggest The Duo, a set that features Brightland’s AWAKE and ALIVE olive oils. Both are made in California, and come in UV-coated bottles that protect the oil from damaging light. ($74)
