My name is Andy Anderson, and I'm a cartoonist. I've been drawing silly pictures and making people laugh since the sixth grade. You may have seen my cartoons published in newspapers, magazines, billboards, books, and even t-shirts (you can see more of my work here: AndyAndersonCartoons.com)
Why a t-shirt store? Sometimes I come up with a gag that doesn't quite work as a cartoon but would be great
on merchandise. A store allows me to keep sharing the laughs in more ways. One day shortly after the pandemic hit, I was talking with some friends about social distancing. As a cartoonist and introvert, I made a joke, "I've been social distancing long before Coronavirus made it a thing," which got an immediate laugh. Someone even suggested putting it on a t-shirt, so I decided to do exactly that. When I started showing up at gatherings wearing it, people asked where they could get one. I decided to begin the process of opening a store and started researching names. When I discovered "Shirty.Store" was available, I ran with it. After completing the store and loading it with a few designs, I showed my wife. Before I knew what was happening, she shared it with her friends on Facebook. Within an hour, I sold five t-shirts, and Shirty Store was launched. When we get frustrated with all the craziness, sometimes a good laugh, even at ourselves, can make things a little more bearable. You don't have to be mean, grumpy, or cynical to shop here; all you need is a sense of humor. What if I have an issue? I'm glad you asked. If you have any questions, concerns, or suggestions about your interaction with Shirty Store, don't hesitate to reach out to me. The best way to reach me is through the contact form but you can call me at 678-807-9388. I love to hear from visitors, and I'll get back to you as soon as I can. What else do I need to know? I have a soft spot for animals. Nothing cures grumpiness like being greeted by a loving pet. Unlike humans, pets don't judge you on your political or religious views, skin color, gender, or fashion trends. Pets make people happy, and I think the world would be better if more people had a pet. That's why a minimum of 10% of all sales goes towards rescuing pets from abuse or destruction by matching them with a loving home.
