Proud Boys leader Enrique Tarrio says he is seeking between $2 million and $5 million in taxpayer money from Trump’s criminal slush fund.

“I’m not greedy,” Tarrio told Reuters. “But my life was all fu**ed up because of this.”

Tarrio, who was sentenced to 22 years in prison for seditious conspiracy over the January 6 attack on the U.S. Capitol before receiving a pardon from Trump, is one of many January 6 rioters and Trump allies scrambling to figure out how to get their share of Trump’s $1.776 billion criminal slush fund.

Trump has already suggested the fund may be too small, telling reporters: “You’re talking about peanuts. It destroyed the lives of many, many people.”

Two police officers who defended the Capitol on January 6 filed a federal lawsuit on Wednesday seeking to shut down what they described as a taxpayer-funded slush fund for Trump followers who engaged in violence.

And now Tarrio says even those who assaulted police officers “deserve to get money.”
