Q1 of 2023 was quiet.

I needed it.

I needed clarity, I needed peace, I needed to read without telling anybody so I can sit deep with the text.

I stepped outside of myself. I left everything alone.

Been trying to read in the morning for the WORD IS BOND BOOKSELLERS] x .shop bookclub on Sunday (8/14)📚

Just expressing some vulnerability, it’s been the most stressful time of my life yall. I’m trying to be as consistent as I can on socials, but it’s damn hard. Algorithms and screen time been getting to me. I may need to take a break after this bookclub meeting to focus on me. It’s something I’m considering… really don’t know yet.

I been finding myself deleting a bunch of music on my phone due to all the gun violence they reference.

Yes it’s their experience, but I gotta say it’s a bit overwhelming to listen to after two mass shootings in one month.

I got some books for y’all to read about how guns impact our community, specifically people of color. Available tomorrow at midnight.
