Today marks the end of our journey here in Athens. Our last day of our lease has arrived, and Vapenotiq Vapors is no longer open for business.

We opened our doors on April Fools’ Day a decade ago and closed out our final sales this Memorial Day 🫡 what a full-circle way to go out. In between, we got to serve so many of you, hear your stories, share laughs, and be part of your daily routines. Those little moments meant everything to us.

To every customer who walked through our doors, supported us, and trusted us with your business — thank you from the bottom of our hearts. Whether you were with us from day one or just recently discovered us, you made this shop feel like home. We’re truly grateful.

We’re carrying all the good memories with us as we close this chapter. Life is made up of seasons, and while this one is ending, we’re thankful for every single person who made it special.Enjoy the little moments. That’s what it’s all about.

New Laws in 2026
Recreational Nitrous Oxide Prohibited in Tennessee
SB 1843/HB1644

Beginning July 1, 2026, it is a crime to sell Nitrous Oxide for recreational use in Tennessee.

You’ve probably seen these products in various stores around the state, sometimes known as Galaxy Gas, ExoticWhip, FastGas, and Whip-it!

Retailers who are caught selling Nitrous Oxide after July 1, 2026, can be fined $2,500 for a first offense and $5,000 for a second offense. Retailers holding a TABC license or a local beer permit will have their license revoked upon a second offense.

Kratom Prohibited in Tennessee
SB 1656/HB 1649

Beginning July 1, 2026, possessing, manufacturing, selling, or delivering Kratom in Tennessee is illegal. Criminal penalties include a Class A misdemeanor for possession and a Class C felony for manufacturing, selling, delivering, or knowingly possessing with the intent to manufacture.

TABC licensees could also receive serious administrative penalties, including fines, license suspensions, or revocation.



Hemp-Derived Cannabinoid Product License Notice
Beginning July 1, 2026, the TABC will have full jurisdiction over all Hemp-Derived Cannabinoid Product (HDCP) manufacturers, wholesalers, and retailers in Tennessee.

New laws taking effect July 1, 2026, will significantly impact HDCP sales and compliance in Tennessee. Make sure you’re properly licensed and prepared.

It’s with heavy hearts that we—Cotey and Audrey—share this bittersweet news: After nearly a decade of pouring our souls into Vapenotiq Vapors of Athens, we’re closing our doors. We’ve built this together since 2015, and it’s been so much more than a business—it’s been our shared dream, filled with incredible memories, wonderful people like you, and the passion that brought us here. Saying goodbye? We’re terrible at it, and honestly, this one is tearing us up inside. 😢

Our final date isn’t set yet, but we’re consolidating to our Cleveland location and handling shipping from the warehouse. In the meantime, swing by Athens for our everything-must-go sale—grab those deals before they’re gone! 🔥 Any leftover products can still be ordered or picked up through Cleveland or Lenoir City.
