Sometimes we need to encourage ourselves in the Lord like King David. David had a close relationship with God and trusted that God would deliver him from his enemies just as he had done before (ex. with Goliath). What experiences can you look back on that God has delivered you from?

Happy Resurrection Day! The Lord has done it! Jesus has risen and now stands at the right hand of the Father. He left His Holy Spirit here with us as an Advocate and Helper for us to get us through this life on earth where we may (guaranteed!) to have struggles, but with the Lord, we will overcome. The Lord tells us to take heart! We, too, shall experience temptations and trials in THIS life, but we shall overcome in our race towards eternity with Him because we have His Spirit and, therefore, are fully equipped by the full armor of God (Ephesians 6: 11-17) and should always come to Him in prayer (1 Timothy 2:1, 2 Chroniciles 6:35-39).

Easter isn't about eggs or the Easter bunny - it's about our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ and His resurrection and triumph over the enemy and overcoming this world! The Word became flesh. That's cause for praise and celebration.

Jesus bore our inequities and transgressions, because He loves us and doesn't want heaven empty. Now, we actually have a choice to choose Christ. To choose eternal life or hell. Choose Jesus.
