Happy Caturday! 🐱

We would love to see you today! It's been a bit slow this week, and we've decided to clear out a bunch of China from our storage. We have hundreds of pieces of clearance China in probably 30 different patterns running only 50 cents per piece!

In addition to that, we've got beautiful merchandise throughout the store including fall (Thanksgiving) and Halloween because you've been asking for it! 🎃🍂 We also just put out a nice selection of gorgeous baskets for your harvest decor!

Also Janne's addictive, handmade $2 catnip toys are back in stock, thanks to your generous donations of fabric. Your kitty's will be happy!

Speaking of donations, ours have really slowed down over this past month likely because of everyone's busy summer schedules.
We REALLY need and appreciate your donations of quality, lightly loved, good condition furniture, home decor, kitchenware, clean, working (small) kitchen appliances, collectables, art, dining linens, clean, quality comforters, and quilts, brass, pottery, jewelry (especially earrings).

Unlike many thrift shops, our boutique takes donations ALL DAY every day during regular store hours. And we because we have plenty of storage NEVER need close off donations in the middle of the day.

If you are interested in donating larger furniture items, (dressers, dining table sets, sofas, etc ) please send a text or call Debbie with photos to (360) 399-8604 for pre-approval.

Please join all of us at Thrifty Kitty in a grateful goodbye and big THANK YOU to our very special friend and volunteer Susan (left) as she, her husband & kitties move on later this week to their next adventure, a few hours south of here. 🐱

As one of the biggest cat and animal lovers around, Susan generously worked both as a volunteer for a couple of years as a part time assistant here at Thrifty Kitty for a combined total of over 5 1/2 years! 🐱

During her time at Thrifty Kitty, Susan built some beautiful friendships, served on our leadership team, running shifts, overseeing teams, pricing merchandise and alone, donated probably thousands of dollars worth of her own hand made crafts and artistic creations including jewelry, doll-head, button & brooch decor, thousands of pieces of jewelry and generously opened her home up for volunteer meetings and activities. She contributed in more meaningful little ways than can even be counted, including being a calm and grounded presence for some of us. 🐱

Wishing Susan, Richard and kitties: Ricky, Ruby, Sadie & Gusto 🐱🐱🐱🐱 all the best as you begin this new chapter of life! You will be greatly missed. 🧡

The big Art's Festival in downtown Anacortes starts tomorrow but why wait til tomorrow when Thrifty Kitty has the art TODAY!

In addition to wall art, we've got original and vintage jewelry, pottery, glass art, linens and more with additional pieces hitting the floor throughout each day!

It will be a fun few days downtown, so don't forget to swing by and see us to find all sorts of treasures while supporting the kitties of the Cat's Meow!

THANKS, EVERYONE. WE GOT LOADED WITH LOTS OF NEW FABRIC AFTER SO MANY OF YOU GENEROUSLY DONATED WHEN SEEING THIS POST.
We will continue taking additional fabric as you care to donate. But we should be good for a while and should have more cat nip toys shortly. We will post when we've got them back in stock!

Help! We always rely on your generous donations of scrap, WOVEN, COTTON fabric for our fabulous volunteer, Janne to make the highly popular organic cat nip toys we sell in the shop. Unfortunately, she's been out of fabric for weeks now and we have sold out on these hot selling $2 toys! (And we really want to keep them this price for you.)🐱

We're reaching out to you to ask for your donations of cotton, woven fabric. The more colorful the better. We take all donations of fabric, but right now we really need this particular fabric for Janne's catnip toys! Some people come in just to purchase these, and regularly. Janne donates her time, energy AND the purchased quality organic cat nip for these toys but we rely on your donated fabric to create them.

If you have any to share, we'd appreciate it if you please bring it in during regular store hours, Tue-Sat, 10 to 5. Thanks in advance for your help! (The sooner the better).

We have so much fun volunteering at Thrifty Kitty! We're currently need to fill a few shifts including Friday & Saturday mornings and Saturday afternoons with fantastic, customer-service focused folks.

Thrifty Kitty is in need of earrings please!
Jewelry is one of those things that doesn't take up a lot of room in your home so often it's the last thing you think about sorting and donating, because it's not really in your way.
What that means is it's one of the donated items we receive infrequently and right now have the greatest need for as our fixture is light and we have SO many customers requesting them!
So bring them in please! In a ziploc bag, a box or whatever! Whether you can find a pair or just a single one or only the backs! Please bring them in! Happy to take your other jewelry items, including watches, necklaces bracelets, and more.

You know that jewelry that's been gathering dust in your jewelry box, in a shoebox or on your dresser? The ones that you keep saying you might wear at some point, but then you never do. The ones that you liked so much that you bought thinking you would have to buy a dress to match them? Yeah, you're not going to wear them. But they could be exactly what someone else needs!
And as ALWAYS, your donations benefit the the Cat's Meow adoption center!
