Come enjoy this special fall activity to make a decorative pumpkin on the pottery wheel.
This class will incorporate the pottery wheel, as each participant will receive step-by-step instructions on how to make a round, closed vessel. They will then be shown how to adapt the sphere into a pumpkin shape and sculpt a stem to attach to the top
After this class is completed, the clay portions will be left to dry and go through the first kiln firing. At a later date, participants will be contacted to return and glaze their pottery. We will walk you through various technique to achieve different unique looks. The pottery will then go through its second firing and can be picked up 1 week from the glazing date.
This class is offered as an individual private lesson or small group. It will be available on Tuesdays in September and October starting 9/15 through 10/27 between 2 pm and 7:30 pm. You can pick what day and time works best, as we will email for day/time confirmation.
