We have one last Nigerian dwarf buckling looking for a home. He can stay intact for breeding or go as a wether.

Goats are herd animals so he can leave by himself if you have other goats. Otherwise he will need a friend.

Side note: my mom has several Doelings also looking for homes that we could pair him with.

I’ve been stewing since I learned of this story several weeks ago and after reading this article I’m beyond disgusted. This local ‘farmer’ used SCISSORS to perform a c-section on a goat without the use of any medications, proper tools or medical knowledge.

Yes emergencies arise! There are times you need to make quick decisions that you hope are the right ones. And sometimes you find yourself hoping and holding your breath that the vet will get there with lightening speed. But God forbid…. If it is a TRUE emergency you do what you need to do as humanely and ethically as possible.

We are to be good stewards of all of Gods Creation and I find it near impossible to believe that holding down an animal while you literally cut her baby out, spending time to milk her before driving her to a vet with her organs hanging out is anywhere close to being the stewards we should be.

The owner of the Farm Show’s popular goat snuggling station is facing felony animal cruelty charges after he performed an at-home C-section on a goat who died.

Along with the wild weather yesterday came our first kids of the season. Like most days it was busy so I missed the entire delivery, 🤪 but two of our boys helped Liberty deliver a set of quads…. 3 bucklings and a doe.

The boys will be looking for new homes. The doe…. We’ll see 😂
