Water Blessing
By: Laura Tempest Zakroff

National Hydration Day is celebrated annually on June 23 and reminds us that it's important to stay hydrated to maintain good health—especially when the temperatures are rising. We should also recognize and honor the fact that our bodies are mostly water and drinking water can truly be a magical act.

There are those cool-looking water bottles with crystals in them, but they can be fragile, difficult to clean, and expensive. So I'd like to offer you some better, more affordable alternatives for blessing your drinking water.

One simple idea is to decorate a regular, solid water bottle with sigils and stickers that inspire you—and don't forget to carry it with you!

Another option is a blessing that you can use with any cup or glass. Hold the cup of water in your hands and say to yourself:

Sacred water, cleanse me, replenish me, and revive me!

Take a drink and be conscious of the sensation of the water as it becomes part of you.

A Pride Spell
By: Gwion Raven

June is Pride Month, and celebrations and political rallies will occur throughout many countries. Pride Month can be traced back to the Stonewall Uprising in New York's Greenwich Village in 1969. The first anniversary of the riots was commemorated with a peaceful march, which many consider the first Pride Parade. LGBTQIA+ people were and are integral to many Pagan/occult/Witchcraft communities, especially the modern Pagan movement. I've been proudly representing the B in LGBTQIA+ my whole life. Here's a spell/wish/ prayer I say every year. Please join me in reciting:

May we experience safety, good health, and comfort. May we find love and happiness. May our communities be strong, vibrant, expansive, resilient, and proud. May we never lose another person to hatred, intolerance, or ignorance. May we remember those who came before us and be a beacon of hope for those who follow us.

🍓🌕 MARK YOUR CALENDARS: The Strawberry Moon arrives on June 29!
Despite its name, the moon won’t actually turn bright pink, but it will do something even better. Named by the sweet strawberry harvest season, this full moon rises low on the horizon. Because of this, Earth’s atmosphere will paint it in stunning, warm shades of gold, orange, and rose. 🌅✨
It is easily one of the most breathtaking sights of the summer, and a beautiful reminder that nature keeps its own calendar written across the sky.
Don't miss it!
🌕 Best View: Just as dusk falls and it peeks over the horizon!

A Father’s Day Spell
By: James Kambos

Today is Litha and the Summer Solstice. The sun is at its zenith, giving us the year's longest day. It's also Father's Day. This is fitting since the sun represents masculine energy, and for many of us, our father, like the sun, is the center of our universe. For this spell, I want you to remember how your father has helped you with his hands and then create something for him using your hands.

First gaze at your hands. Do you also see your father's hands in them? Recall how your father's hands have helped you. Did they steady you the first time you rode a bike? Did they help teach you a sport? Did they hold you? Now, visualizing your father's hands, create something for your father using your hands. It could be something simple, like a card, or you could bake his favorite food or create a handcrafted item he taught you how to make. End by giving your creation to your father. Tell him how much you appreciate the help and comfort his hands have given you over the years.

Happily Married
By: Dallas Jennifer Cobb

June is the traditional month for weddings, with the goddess Juno overseeing love, marriage, fertility, and childbirth. Because the month name is derived from the goddess's name, it's believed that getting married in June will bring Juno's blessings to the couple, bestowing fertility, happiness, and a long, loving marriage.

Okay, okay, I hear you. I, too, am solo and live with my dog. So here is what I propose (pun intended): Invoke Juno's blessings with a self-marriage ritual.

Get a ring that you love. Polish it so it shines with loving devotion. Hold it in your right hand, saying:

I choose me.

Slip it onto the ring finger of your left hand and say:

With this ring, I me wed.

May you live in love all the days of your life.

Pen Pal Magic
By; Tess Whitehurst

Today, nourish a long-distance friendship and bring joy to your heart by reviving the lost art of letter writing. Perhaps even get a pen pal relationship going.

First, find or create a card or stationery that you love. Then safely light a candle. Hold your hands in prayer pose, close your eyes, and take some deep breaths. Connect with the spirit of your long-distance friend. Envision them and send them love. Feel and imagine that love boomeranging back to you, warming your heart, and shining in all directions across the surface of the globe.

Now write a letter. It could be a quick note or a longer communiqué. Either way, let your friend know you care about them and they're in your thoughts. Perhaps throw in a fun little extra, like a sticker, a bookmark, or a pressed flower. Before you drop the letter in the mailbox, send love into the envelope and envision it filled with glittering light. Be sure to extinguish the candle.

Roll the Dice
By: Emily Carlin

When you're having difficulty choosing between various options, this spell can help to guide you. You will need a six-sided die (or another size if you have lots of options), a piece of paper, and a writing implement.

Write down your choices on the paper and number them. Assign each of your choices to a number (or range of numbers) on the die. For example, if you have two options, assign one option to be even numbers and the other to be odd numbers. If you have five options, number them 1–5 and assign 6 as roll again.

Hold the die in your hand and say:

Luck and fortune come to me.
Help me choose what's best for me.
As I do will, so must it be.

Roll the die and see what choice is likely to have the most positive outcome for you.

Water Bottle Blessing
By: Ember Grant

All evidence supports the benefits of staying hydrated. Use this spell to charge your water bottle for two things: (1) to remind you to keep it filled, and (2) because each time you take a drink, you will remember the health benefits of water—and that has a magic of its own.

If you already have a water bottle, that's great! If not, now's the time to invest in one that you can associate with your magical intent. You can also add a special sticker or other marking to your bottle to remind you of your intent. Visualize the bottle as a magical vessel. With each drink, you take in the magic of water and its healing energy. Bless the bottle so the water it holds always reminds you of water's healing energy and helps remind you to drink it. Use this chant:

Bless this bottle in my grip,
Bless this water with each sip.
Keep me healthy, fit, and well—
With these words I cast the spell.
