Some days entrepreneurship looks nothing like the “success stories” people post online.
Sometimes it looks like trying to hold yourself together while feeling like your business is slipping further away from you.

Imagine everything you need for your business being a 26-hour drive away. Your equipment. Your supplies. Your setup. Your comfort zone. Your routine. The things that helped you create and survive.

And as a parent, one of the adults you brought into this world needed you on a completely different level, so you showed up. Even when it cost you everything familiar.

The original plan was organized. Planned 6 weeks ahead. SUV reserved. Business relocation mapped out. But life had other plans. Things fell through at the last minute, and instead of relocating with your business the way you intended, you relocated with an air mattress, vacuum-sealed bags of clothes, and your computer.

That’s it.

People don’t always see this side of business ownership.

The side where you’re grieving plans that didn’t work out while still trying to post content, answer messages, stay motivated, and believe God still has a plan for everything you built.
You keep fighting to hold on because quitting would be easier, but something inside you refuses to let go.

So if you’ve been feeling behind, discouraged, exhausted, or like you’re starting over from nothing, this is your reminder that survival is still progress. Showing up while rebuilding is still strength. And carrying responsibility while chasing a dream is not weakness.

Some of us are building businesses while rebuilding our lives at the exact same time.

I grew up hearing my grandmother say, “God will have His foot on your neck,” and right now… I feel that.

Life has been coming at me fast. Me and my daughter have been going through it, trying to figure out how our needs are going to be met, how this move is supposed to happen in such a short amount of time, just a lot all at once, with barely a week to pull it together.

If I’m being real, sometimes my worries feel louder than my faith. But in the middle of it all, I found myself scrolling, and one by one, confirmation kept showing up on my feed. Message after message, reminding me that God is still in control.

All I could do was pause, say “Amen,” and whisper “Thank You, God.” Because even when I don’t see the way… He’s already making one.

Sometimes, the discomfort you feel isn’t meant to break you. It’s meant to redirect you.

I’m learning that not every opportunity is alignment, and not every open door is where I’m supposed to stay. I’m grateful, but I’m also paying attention to what my spirit is feeling. God will make things uncomfortable just to get your attention and pull you back into purpose.

Faith isn’t always comfortable, but it’s always necessary.

Obedience over fear… every time.

My rebuilding season isn’t just about starting over, it’s about listening differently. When God says move, I’m not hesitating anymore. I’m not overthinking it. I’m not letting fear negotiate what He already confirmed. I’m moving… just like that.

Because truth is, fear will have you stuck in the very place you’re praying to get out of. Fear will keep you comfortable today, but regretful 5 years from now. And I refuse to stay where God already told me to leave.

This season... I’m choosing obedience. Even when it’s uncomfortable. Even when it doesn’t make sense. Even when it stretches me. If He said it… that’s enough for me.

Sometimes, we try to force what God never approved. We push, we plan, and we try to make it fit only to feel drained, confused, and out of alignment. That’s the sign. If there’s no peace, it’s not his direction.

The noise will have you thinking you’re behind, missing out, or need to rush. But God doesn’t operate in confusion or pressure. His voice is found in stillness. When you silence everything else and truly listen, he will guide you back to the path that was designed just for you.

Rebuilding isn’t about going back to what’s familiar. It’s about growing beyond what broke you. It’s choosing obedience over old habits, faith over fear, and purpose over pressure.
Stop forcing it. If God didn’t approve it, you don’t need it. Stay aligned and trust HIS way it’s always better.

2026 is not about perfection… it’s about rebuilding.

Piece by piece. Prayer by prayer. Step by step.
I’m rebuilding my life with intention this time, stronger boundaries, deeper faith, clearer vision. Everything I lost, everything I had to leave behind, every unexpected detour, it’s not the end of my story. It’s the foundation for something greater.

I’m not rushing the process. I’m trusting it.
Because what God is rebuilding in me will be stronger than anything I’ve known before.
This year, I’m choosing growth over comfort, faith over fear, and purpose over pressure.
I’m rebuilding, and I won’t apologize for starting over.
