Today I read a post about the silly things we do when young out of curiosity and it took me back to those days. Well, mine ain't out of curiosity but I guess naivety.
I grew up with my aunt who is an anesthesiologist at Bundibugyo hospital( a great woman she is). She was always busy and never at home due to her tight schedule given the type of work. One day, due to boredom, having been left at home alone( I think I was around 9years then), I decided to increase light around the house. Way back in 2003, Bundibugyo district had no electricity and so it was the candles and kerosene lamps that worked the magic. My aunt used to stock candles and so I thought to myself, "I can increase the light in the house if I light all the candles and place them in all the dark spots". I lit all the sitting room corners and finally the bedroom where the best part was under the bed. I had never seen light under the bed, to be honest, it felt superb. Little did I know it would burn. Luckily for me, while in my excitement an aunt came by and found me in my little fantasy(nearly burning down the house) and removed everything. She was the kind of auntie that is sweet to kids and that's how I survived being beaten. However I was later reported and you obviously know what happened next.
Memories are precious. Being little is beautiful but risky.
By the way, the ocean breeze there is here to stay, grab one at 10k just. #
