How Often Should You Really Retighten Your Locs? 🌀

Forget the "every 4-6 weeks" rule — here's what actually matters:

📏 Watch your roots, not the calendar. You need at least 1.5cm of new growth to retighten safely (2cm is ideal).

⏳ 8-10 weeks is more realistic for most people — but everyone's growth rate is different.

⚠️ Retightening too soon = damage. Short roots can't handle the tension evenly, leading to thinning, tenderness, and breakage at the base.

✅ Some looseness between sessions is normal. No need to rush in.

🧴 Between sessions, focus on:
