Loop-end E strings breaking can be frustrating, especially when the string is brand new.

In many cases, the string itself isn’t the real cause and the fine tuner design can play a bigger role than most players realize.

This weekend was a special one for our CEO, Bohdan Warchal ✨

Before founding Warchal Strings, Bohdan was a proud member of the Slovak Chamber Orchestra.
He returned to the stage together with fellow former members to take part in the 65th anniversary concert of the orchestra’s very first performance — a reunion that brought generations of musicians back together.

The orchestra was founded by his father, Bohdan Warchal, whose legacy continues to inspire generations of musicians.

Why does it sound like this…? 🎻

This “strange” sound comes from a homemade mute, built by our CEO Bohdan when he was just 12 years old, so he could practise in a hotel room.

That curiosity never stopped.

It started with a mute.�Today, we design strings for violins, violas, and cellos.

Today, we’re proud to introduce
🎻 𝗠𝗮𝗿𝗶𝗮 𝗦𝘁𝗿𝗲𝗹𝗻𝗶𝗸𝗼𝘃𝗮 — a luthier based in Cremona, Italy 🇮🇹.

Born in Moscow into a family of violin makers, Maria’s first mentor was her father, an expert restorer of stringed instruments. She later refined her craft under renowned masters Yury Pochekin and Nikolay Stasov, before continuing her studies in Cremona at the prestigious International School of Violin Making ‘A. Stradivari’ (IPIALL).

Since opening her own workshop in the heart of Cremona in 2014, Maria’s instruments have gained international recognition, earning top prizes at major violin-making competitions, including the Marino Capicchioni Competition (Italy), where the violin featured here was awarded First Prize. 🥇

The violin is named 𝐑𝐮𝐛𝐢𝐜𝐨𝐧𝐞 (2021) and is strung with our 𝗔𝗺𝗯𝗲𝗿 𝘀𝘁𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴𝘀, chosen for their warmth, richness, and natural response. ✨🎶
