This year commemorates the 800th anniversary of the Christmas nativity scene first created by St Francis of Assisi in 1223 in a quaint Italian village of Greccio.

It was in Bethlehem that St Francis began to imagine the nativity scene and when he returned to Greccio, he located the cave and presented it on Christmas night in 1223. Since then nativity scenes have become a common part of Christmas celebrations in many cultures around the world.

Buy a nativity set and make Christmas meaningful at home. A reminder that God sent His son to bring salvation to all people.
