This trilogy is a visual narrative of budding dreams, growth, and self-love. Together, these works trace my journey through darkness, doubt, healing, and transformation. They are not separate stories, but chapters of the same becoming.

These are my entries for the Her Horizon art exhibit in Alabang West Parade with Girl Gang of Art PH in partnership with Megaworld Lifestyle Mall. Show runs from March 20 to March 29.

This piece represents my resilience as an individual, no matter what challenges life throws at me. It is a reflection of my ability to bloom wherever I can, whenever I choose to. Even when the environment feels heavy, suffocating, or uncertain, I will always find a way to keep going. The flowers emerging from the darkness are forms taken from my past artworks; the fragments of who I have been. By bringing them back, I acknowledge my history, my growth, and the versions of myself that helped me survive.

This work is not about pretending the darkness does not exist. It’s about acknowledging it as part of my foundation. The darkness becomes the soil, the wounds become openings, the threads become proof that I am still connected to myself. No matter how deep the dark may feel, I will always emerge from it. I will bloom again and again, not because it is easy, but because it is who I am.

This layering top is versatile, easy to style and elevates the outfit in no time!

I’ve lost count of the times I have frogged my work in different areas of this pattern. It’s frustrating, but it motivates me to continue the work because of how beautiful it looks when it’s done! Stitches are very easy, but they are also very technical. Everything is aligned, and if not, you need to frog. Challenging pattern for someone like me, but every step was fun and exciting!
