Dear Lander,
No matter how simple, I will never get tired of acknowledging your milestones. As said, big things once started from small beginnings. The same goes with our journey in reaching your utmost potential. It may take different rocky and bumpy roads, but we will relentlessly support you in the best way we can.
Yesterday was a blast. After asking you many times last Saturday if you wanted to go swimming and getting no response, you amazed me when you woke up at 4 am yesterday because Dadhee mentioned that we would head there early. Maybe you were listening, and you really wanted to soak in the sun. I also requested that you behave the whole time to avoid trouble or accidents. You did exactly what I said. From our travel from Naga to Legazpi, you were just watching the view and reacted every time you saw animals along the way, especially those in the farmlands. You were smiling and blabbering things. I could sense the excitement. I took that as an opportunity to name the things we saw. You listened. You sat still. No whining. No crying.
When we arrived, you were very excited to dip in the pool. After a few minutes, you returned with Tito Harvey and ate your lunch. No fuss. You ate your lunch. I could recall how hard it was to get you from the pool before. Now, it's getting better. You ate properly, too. You even tried other food, not the usual beige crunchy cracker but soft and sweet p**o this time. I am amazed by the little changes, which are undeniably important for your development. When it was time to change clothes, you did not resist. You allowed us to bathe you, and you stayed still in the hall and happily stared at the pool without plans of escaping and diving again. When we got to the village, you did not stack Tita Tina's containers for the first time. You behaved so well that even when it was time to tuck you in bed, we saw you already lying and sleeping soundly.
We are elated by your compliance and discipline. My prayers are really happening. Thank you, Lord. We pray that more milestones will be unleashed because these strengthen our tired body. We see hope that someday, you can independently do the things kids of your age do. What we want is to build an environment where you can adapt and showcase your skills. We are your safe place, remember that. We will always see the things that you do from the lens of love.
Someday, you will be able to read these chronicles that I write and will be amazed at how strong your support system is. Your tita Ninang and tito Mac always want to let you enjoy. They are very generous that we are always invited in all the gatherings. Tita Gorg and tito Ninong also congratulated and sent you a gift for tomorrow's recognition day. They always play with you, too.Tita lav takes care of you when we are together. Lola wants to look after you,too. Tita Tina and Kuya Martin are always cheering you up. We love all of them. We are so blessed. ❤
You will see how compassion shaped our characters and how love enabled us to surpass challenges. We believe in you. I know you can thrive with the skills you are showing now. We can't wait to discover more. We love you. No pressure. Whatever and however you want to learn things, we will be by your side because we know that you have your own timeline—your own unique way.
