Robinsons Retail President and CEO Stanley Co returned to the University of Santo Tomas as guest speaker for Student Awards Day 2026, held on May 22, 2026 at the UST Quadricentennial Pavilion in Manila.

The event recognized outstanding students for academic excellence, leadership, and service, with UST College of Commerce and Business Administration (CCBA) senior Allyah Amboy named this year’s Valedictorian after earning a general weighted average of 1.058.

A 1998 graduate of UST CCBA, Co spoke about the role of curiosity in leadership and business, emphasizing the importance of asking questions, listening to others, and staying open to learning.

“In business, you will not always have a complete plan. You will not always have perfect information. You will need to ask questions, listen to people, admit what you do not know, and learn as you go. Curiosity keeps you humble. It reminds you that there is something to learn from the person beside you,” Co said.

He also recalled the value of mentorship, noting that leadership is also about creating opportunities for others to grow.

“This is also the role: not just to lead a company, but to be the door that someone else walks through. Someone opened the door for me once. When your turn comes—and it will come—open the door.”

Co was presented a certificate and token of appreciation by UST Rector Very Rev. Fr. Richard Ang, O.P., PhD, and Secretary General Rev. Fr. Louie Coronel, O.P., E.H.L.

Benefit Cosmetics reopened its store at TriNoma in Quezon City on April 24, 2026, relocating from the third floor to a new space on the first floor of the mall. The reopened store introduces Benefit’s new global store look to the Philippines and is among the first in Asia to feature the updated design.

Benefit has always had a vibrant and distinct personality as a brand, and this reopened store gives customers a more accessible space that brings that energy to life,” said Group General Manager Carmina Quizon.

Benefit TriNoma is the second standalone Benefit Cosmetics store under Robinsons Retail’s beauty portfolio, which also includes 6 SHISEIDO and 3 Clé de Peau Beauté stores, alongside the Beauty Section of 50 Robinsons Department Stores.

Present at the ribbon-cutting ceremony were Benefit Cosmetics Southeast Asia Senior Marketing Manager Gary Neng and Philippines Sales and Education Manager Catherine Arnaldo; Group GM Quizon; Ayala Malls TriNoma General Manager Russell Jay Flores and Senior Leasing Manager Leeanne Caimol; and Store Operations Manager Sheinna Gonzaga.

Southstar Drug held the Metro Manila leg of its 15th Run for Wellness on April 26, 2026 at the University of the Philippines Diliman in Quezon City, with more than 8,000 participants joining its 3K, 5K, and 10K categories.

“We thank everyone who joined this year’s Run for Wellness, as well as the partners and teams who helped bring the event together. The strong turnout for this milestone edition reflects the support the run has built through the years,” said General Manager Thaddeus Sanchez.

As part of this year’s run, Southstar donated PHP 1 million to UP Diliman through the Office of the Vice Chancellor for Community Affairs. The donation will benefit the university’s Public Safety and Security Office, Traffic Management Office, and University Health Service.

“Run for Wellness has stayed with Southstar because it is closely tied to what we do as a health retailer. As a drugstore, we are part of people’s health needs every day. This run allows us to support the other side of that, which is encouraging people to build habits that help them stay well,” said Group General Manager Mariel Crisostomo.

The Naga leg of Run for Wellness is set for September 13, 2026, in the city where Southstar was founded in 1937.
