PARENTS, CHOOSE BETTER SCHOOLS FOR YOUR KIDS.

The recent tragic events and the questions they leave behind should be a wake-up call for all of us.

Not all big schools automatically mean a better environment for our children.

As parents, we often look at a school’s reputation, prestige, rankings, and academic excellence. But before all of that, we should be asking one important question:

“Will my child be safe here?”

At the end of the day, our children only have one life.

They can recover from a failing grade. But they can never get a second life.

Schools are not only meant to educate. They are also meant to protect, guide, and care for the children entrusted to them.

Schools teach values every day. But values are not proven when life is easy. They are proven when tragedy happens.

Practice what you teach. Live the values you preach.

Because a school’s name, prestige, or tuition fee means nothing if it cannot uphold the very values it claims to teach.

Our children deserve more than an excellent education. They deserve to come home safe and ALIVE.

Kaya piliin natin maging mabait, maunawain, at mapagpasensya sa isa't isa.
Minsan, yung simpleng pangangamusta, pakikinig, o ilang salita ng pag-encourage sa isang tao ay malaki ang naitutulong higit pa sa inaakala natin.

Para sa lahat ng may kanya-kanyang laban sa buhay, at may pinagdaraanan, VALID ang nararamdaman mo, at hindi ka nag-iisa.

Sa Japan, hindi agad binibigatan ng major exams ang mga bata sa unang taon ng kanilang pag-aaral. Sa halip na puro test, scores, at pressure, mas binibigyan muna sila ng pundasyon sa tamang asal, disiplina, respeto, at pakikitungo sa kapwa.

Sa murang edad, tinuturuan silang makinig nang maayos, yumuko bilang paggalang, maglinis ng sariling silid-aralan, maging responsable sa gamit nila, at marunong makisama sa ibang bata. Para sa kanila, ang edukasyon ay hindi lang tungkol sa talino—kundi kung paano maging mabuting tao.

Mayroon din silang tinatawag na “Dotoku” o moral education, kung saan bahagi ng pag-aaral ang pagtuturo ng kabutihan, katapatan, pananagutan, respeto, at malasakit sa kapwa. Hindi lang ito basta subject, kundi ugaling isinasabuhay sa araw-araw.

Kaya bago pa man sila sanayin sa kompetisyon at mataas na marka, hinuhubog muna ang kanilang karakter. Dahil naniniwala sila na ang batang may disiplina at mabuting asal ay mas handang matuto, makipagkapwa, at humarap sa totoong buhay.

Habang sa ibang lugar ay maagang nararamdaman ng mga bata ang pressure ng exams at grades, ipinapakita ng Japan na may ibang paraan: unahin muna ang values bago ang matinding kompetisyon.

At marahil ito ang dahilan kung bakit marami ang humahanga sa kanilang sistema. Dahil sa Japan, ang tunay na edukasyon ay hindi lang nagsisimula sa pagsusulit—nagsisimula ito sa pagtuturo ng respeto, disiplina, at pagiging mabuting tao.

Dahil ang batang may magandang asal, hindi lang nagiging mahusay na estudyante—nagiging mabuting mamamayan din.
