Running a small business comes with so much sacrifice, hard work, and passion. That’s why situations like this are deeply painful for us, GrabFood
A complaint was filed claiming a “WRONG ITEM” for an order of 2 boxes of 4 DCC(Dubai Chewy Cookie) using a photo of a completely different product that isn’t even ours. Despite this, GrabFood still issued a 50% refund voucher, which will of course be deducted from the merchant’s sales - from us.
As a small business, every single order matters. Every sale helps us cover ingredients, staff salaries, utilities, and daily operating expenses just to keep going.
We’ve seen other small businesses in CDO experience similar situations before, and it honestly saddens us that it happened to us too.
We truly hope GrabFood PH improves the way complaints are reviewed and investigated, especially for small businesses who rely on the platform to survive. We hope it remains a safe space not only for customers, but also for honest merchants trying their best.
And to those who abuse these systems just to get “free food,” please remember that behind every order are real people working hard every day to survive honestly in this economy.
