Today’s ulam: Pork Igado, but with a little twist. Not the full-on Ilokano version, just pork with a bit of liver (para approved kay hubby 😄). Still, it turned out so yummy it felt like pang-special occasion.

It’s funny how something as simple as a cheese tart and croissant can warm your heart.

Life after having a baby isn’t as sweet or showy as it used to be. Most days, it’s all about the baby. But every now and then, small gestures — like hubby bringing home these as pasalubong — remind me that love still finds its quiet ways to show up. I treasure these moments, and I choose to keep hoping for better days ahead.

Lunch today wasn’t just a meal, it was a small act of self-care.

Most days, it’s either baon or canteen food, or sometimes I even skip it altogether because I’m too tired or overwhelmed. But today, I let myself enjoy something warm and comforting. Chicken Parmigiano from Banapple—simple, but it felt like a hug on a plate.

To anyone who's been running on empty lately: don’t forget to feed your body. Rest if you can. And if all you can manage is a decent meal today, that’s already a good start. 🌱
