From painting and mounting to the final assembly, today's session was all about the details.

Every fish took on its own character, and it was inspiring to see everyone's creativity and patience throughout the process. Thank you for spending your Saturday making art with us. 🎨🐟

From rough wood to tuyo fish — participants of our Fish Sculpture Workshop with renowned Kapampangan artist Ronnie Tayag spent the afternoon learning the tricky but rewarding process of carving, shaping, and sanding.

What seemed like a simple fish design quickly became a lesson in patience, detail, and craftsmanship — discovering how careful carving skills and proper sanding can slowly transform an ordinary piece of wood into something full of character and movement. 🐟✨

This was only Part 1.
Next weekend, participants return for the finishing touches and final assembly of their sculptural tuyo pieces. Stay tuned for the completed works!
