The Dorothy Butler Children's Bookshop We have one of the largest selections of quality children's books in New Zealand, and a range of educational toys, puzzles and games.

Selling children's literature and toys for over 30 years, the Dorothy Butler Children's bookshop stocks fiction and non fiction books for ages 0-19 (and all those grown-ups who, like us, just love children's books). We stock books on thousands of themes and subjects, as well as educational material, so feel free to ask us about your child's particular needs or interests and we are sure to be able

to recommend something. We also have board and card games, toys, hand puppets, puzzles, craft kits and baby gifts. We are named after our late founder, Dorothy Butler, a New Zealand children's author, educator and general Kiwi legend, who saw the importance of reading to children and kids always having a range of exciting literature at their fingertips. We have a special section of New Zealand picture books as well as picture books in Te Reo Maori

Conveniently situated at One Jervois - on the corner of Jervois and St Mary's Roads in Three Lamps, we offer 30 minutes of free parking behind our shop.
