Usual weekend hours today and tomorrow.

Surprised to see such a beautiful autumn day this morning, as expecting a grim weekend for my last in store for a while. Going to attempt a big walk in England largely inspired by the Nicholls, Ashworth, Wainright books... and my auntie, Marcia, who did the Coast to Coast walk 20 years ago. In the meantime, the store goes on...
Ed or Jess will be here and open for the shorter winter hours of Saturdays 11-1 and Sundays 1 - 3 until at least early July.

The last two boxes of new stock coming in today, including old favourites, pictured. Still plenty of top ups and back ups though, also pictured. And print of the painting that inspired The Goldfinch, stumbled across, recently.

Big shop refresh. Non-fiction now facing out from where the fiction was. Fiction all in 'Fiction Alley'. Wall to the right of door...except for lower shelves Kid's space...is New Zealand'.

Not bringing in much new stock at the moment as we focus on showcasing previously hidden gems.
Will be lots more recent contemporary fiction etc in the Spring, but not much to be found if planning a special trip for such titles just now.... l think actually supposed to encourage people to visit in posts 🤔 :) .

Sharing this for local creatives and especially for Janine Basil the creator of all the beautiful sparkly things and host of the space. She is happy to post any of her jewellery creations, so follow and pm The Junction Tuapeka if interested, or stop for a look when next passing... if you've stopped for a book, a playground visit, a giant ice cream or the loo.... they're only a few more steps away.
