The C word . . . yep Christmas . . . no more denying, it is actually going to be here before we know it. So I got my busy on at the weekend and crafted a handful of full eucalyptus wreaths. I'm lucky to have a generous supply of Eucalyptus so have made them in varying leaf sizes and colours, some nice and symmetrical some a little more agricultural. 55cm $75 and 75cm $90 pm for details. Other sizes available on request.

Rosehips drying on display in a crystal vase I got from my Grandma for my 21st last year .... hahaha. I'll be using these guys in some wreaths this Xmas .. almost can't wait... almost

Dragged my kids out for a forage at dusk yesterday under the guise of 'taking the dog for a walk' .. poor kids .. Mister Seven asks me 'what are you getting those for Mum, they're just w**ds'? Well it depends on how you look at them mate .. who knew the coulour brown had so many gorgeous variations in tone .. I've been walking past these all morning imaging what the beautiful 'w**d wreath' might look like ...

Learned something new yesterday. I've been wanting to learn Harakeke weaving for a long time and finally got the opportunity yesterday with Lee Olsen at Creative Arts Napier. I love how you can take something simple like flax and create something beautiful like this from it .. you get really lost in the process of making it and forget about all your cares for a while .. I'd recommend giving it a try if you haven't already.

This wreath is a giveaway for a sports club fundraiser ... it ended up looking quite Autumnal don't you think? completely unintentional but I'm loving it.
