Matarangi Tide Clock

The one that started it all. Get your very own New Zealand-made Tide Clock, designed especially for the lovely community of Matarangi. This clock tracks tidal cycles, indicating high and low tides on a 12-hour and 25-minute schedule. It’s easy to set up – just align the clock hand to the high tide mark at the next high tide.

The clock features a 30cm diameter, plywood finish, and a quartz-controlled tide movement mechanism. Battery included.

NOTE: Please allow up to 2 weeks from the date of purchase for your order to be ready.

I’m Paul, thanks for stopping by.
Fishing and being near the water has always been my happy place. After we got a place in Matarangi, I designed a tide clock just for fun. My wife loved it and so did friends and family. Their encouragement (and some surprising demand!) led to the creation of Coastal Tide Clocks.

With over 17 years in the creative industry, I craft each clock with care, digitally redrawing local maps and laying them out to create the perfect 3D effect when laser-cut.

What started as a passion project has grown thanks to the incredible support from our coastal communities around Aotearoa. I’m so grateful, thank you.
