This the first dress I have made to donate to Dress A Girl Around the World charity. Made from a children's duvet cover, bought from a second hand shop and in excellent condition. Hi. My name is Maria. I started sewing with my mum and nana on a treadle foot Singer. I'm an older woman myself now. Back in the day, sewing was taught to the girls in intermediate school.
As a young mum I sewed cute outfits for my little girls.
Once life slowed down a little I came back to sewing, I have had fun making unique clothing for myself, especially enjoy upcycling items that don't fit anymore and making them into something useful.
