I get a massive kick finding really old clothing in good condition, I have found some older items from the 1950's that are unfortunately falling apart, but this 1940's to 1950's bath robe is in awesome condition. It has a couple of surface holes which I will mend and made from the softest cotton that almost feels like tencel or viscose. It has pockets, rope details and is light and wearable as a duster or house robe. It also doesn't smell, I know that's a weird thing to say but when something is this old it does have a certain scent, eau de very old clothing. Also the tag!! Argh. I also have a very soft spot for vintage sleepwear they are so chic and well made and often nicer than most modern clothing. Okay that's all for me waxing lyric about this great robe.

I have been plugging away, listening to some classic rock and ignoring the kids, setting up some online shoppyness. Most of my stuff is listed on Trade Me but I am widening my horizons. Its very hard for me who would quite happily sit all day sewing. But here is some vinty goodness handpicked by me!

It is very sad when you have been on the lookout for chunky loafers and then you find them gasp and try to shove your foot into it completely realizing they are two sizes too small but trying resolutely anyway. After much huffing and puffing and dropping all your belongings in your furious shoving you resign to the fact that they are indeed the size they are marked as and your feet haven't magically shrunk. I am then reminded of that episode of IT Crowd when Jen insists on wearing small shoes and her toes are hilariously mangled as a consequence.
So if you are a size 36 and have magic teeny feet these are both in your size. Charles and Keith awesomeness Penny loafers and Vintage Balmain high tops.

The thing about working from home is that you don't have to talk to people and also you have no one to talk to.
So I spend a lot of time talking to myself, this can be problematic when you happen to venture outside the safe confines of your abode and encounter actual real people. Yesterday I was chuckling at a joke I just told myself and a lady asked if I was talking and laughing at her. Well.
So here are some wares I am peddling on Trade Me to keep me in stock of olives and tea and my own hilarious jokes.

Look this camera angle is not the best but this 80's vintage dress needs some video action, I felt compelled to put on more make up as I had rubbed most of it off so I have fresh winged liner. Also the kids YouTube in the background is so relaxing to work to. It's Friday ,woop.

I am a bit of a sucker for the brand Trelise Cooper, especially the older ranges. I have a few up for sale, 2 dresses and 2 gorgeous silk/cotton skirts. The dresses are both a size 14 and the skirts are a size 10.
