🌱 Meet the team behind DUKO! 🌱
We would like to introduce you to Keiko, one of the cofounders of the original DUKO (formerly known as DuKo).
She is married with two kids, lives with her family in Utrecht and works for the city of Utrecht.
“When I started at the forerunner of DUKO, I wanted to contribute to a project that supported sustainability. As cofounder of DuKo I strongly believe we all have our responsibility to protect this planet we live on. Now that I have children of my own, I want them and future generations to enjoy this beautiful place too. Things will change and so does our planet, but I don't want to destroy it and I think none of us purposely want to do this. And that is why I continue my work with DUKO. Sustainability, climate change and subjects around these matters are so big and we as individuals feel so small. But I too believe that all our individual actions combined have a great impact.”
The sustainable tips Keiko would like to share with the DUKO community are:
💚 Check where your products come from, where they are made and which ingredients are used
💚 Look for green stores where you can shop guilt-free
💚 Ask yourself if you really need the products you buy and how to properly dispose/recycle them when they no longer serve you
