Episode 5: Feeding the Dream 🥪🧀

Every great production needs a well fed cast. And on Denneweg 19, lunch looks a little different every day.

Sometimes it is a fancy cheese platter at home. Sometimes it is a sandwich sitting outside the shop watching the street go by. Sometimes we end the day with an Espresso Martini to celebrate a win. Sometimes a good glass of red. And sometimes? Simply a Coke on the pavement next to the shop.

Whatever it looks like on the day – we make sure to take the time. To sit down. To breathe. To look at what we are building and celebrate how far we have come. 🎨

Because building a dream works up quite an appetite. And every single win deserves to be marked, no matter how small. ✨

When you are renovating and the walls start giving you art. 🐰🎨

Justin spotted Roger Rabbit hiding in the exposed brick at Denneweg 19 and honestly...we think he was always meant to be there.

This is exactly what we believe at &Mie. Art is everywhere. Sometimes you just need a little imagination to find it. 👀✨

Everyone can be an artist. You just have to look closely enough. 🎨

Welcome backstage to &Mie’s Renovation Diaries. ⚒️ Episode 4: Silver Linings ✨

The inspectors came. And honestly? Not what we expected.

The building did not meet the standards. Insulation had to go in everywhere. The roadmap we thought we had? Derailed. The easy, quick, done and move in plan? Also gone. 😅

We will not pretend it did not feel overwhelming in that moment. Because it did. But here is what we did not expect...

Every wall we had to pull away revealed something we never would have found otherwise. Gift after gift after gift hiding behind the surfaces. And slowly, what felt like a setback started to feel like something else entirely. ✨

Ladies and gentlemen. Welcome backstage. Episode: Renovations Begins ⚒️

It’s GO time on Denneweg 19 this week. With the inspectors coming for water and electricity, it was time to roll up our sleeves and get to work. 💧🔨

Justin got stuck in and ripped up that floor like it was absolutely nobody’s business. Holes drilled. The manhole cleaned up. Channeling for the pipes – completed. ✨

Our first renovation since leaving South Africa and honestly? It felt good to be back in it. There is something deeply satisfying about starting and knowing exactly what you are going to build in its place.

The inspectors are coming. The work is done. We are ready for them – and we have everything crossed that they love what they see. 👀

The keys are in hand, the papers are up on the windows and Denneweg 19 is officially under construction. We might be keeping it hidden from the street for now – but we are bringing you along for every single moment of it. 👀

Feline won de x giveaway en liep onze workshop binnen met een idee dat we nog niet eerder hadden gezien.

Een verfijnd ombre design. Zonsondergangskleuren die zacht in elkaar overvloeien over delicate bloemen. Warm, doordacht en helemaal levendig. 🌸

Iedereen brengt iets naar het canvas wat niemand anders kan. En Feline liet dat op de mooiste manier zien. ✨

Meet Thomas. 🎨

Thomas joined us at the &Mie stand at with his family and blew us away with not one, not two, but many designs across his Halo Trims™️. But this one? This one has a story.

This design was inspired by the artwork on his own wall at home. 👀

Think about that for a second. A design that has always lived in his space, his world, his story – now sealed in resin and going everywhere he goes. That is not just a water bottle. That is Thomas, carried with him every single day.

This is exactly what &Mie is about. Not just a blank canvas. A canvas that tells your story. 🎪✨
